About WEA Pray
The WEA desires to see churches around the world mobilized to pray. Prayer is simply conversation with God. Through prayer we draw near to God, and our faith, trust and obedience are deepened. We are called to intercede regularly in prayer for one another, for the persecuted church, and for the lost.
WEA Pray is run out of the Office of the Secretary-General (OSG) of the World Evangelical Alliance. We recognize that there are more than 5,000 existing Christian prayer networks, organisations, and Houses of Prayer, many of them affiliated with WEA Regional and National Alliances. It is not our intention to start a new prayer initiative, but rather to point global churches to select prayer initiatives in order to catalyze and mobilize extraordinary world-changing prayer.
Habakkuk 2:14 (NIV)
“The man who mobilizes the Christian church to pray will make the greatest contribution to world evangelization in history”
– Andrew Murray
