Pray for Iran
Pray for Iran

The land of Daniel has seen much conflict lately. Local believers are asking for prayers for Divine intervention and for peace. When we see images on the news of demonstrations, hear of people being killed, or otherwise hear about Iran, let's remember to pray for our brothers and sisters in this nation. And let's also be praying for the rulers of this nation by name.

This is the ancient land of Daniel and Esther. Pray for many to have the spirit of Daniel, wisdom and the courage to remain faithful even in the face of persecution. Pray also for the Esthers of Iran. May God protect those who are standing up for truth and for their fellow believers.

About WEA Pray

The WEA desires to see churches around the world mobilized to pray. Prayer is simply conversation with God. Through prayer we draw near to God, and our faith, trust and obedience are deepened. We are called to intercede regularly in prayer for one another, for the persecuted church, and for the lost.

WEA Pray is run out of the Office of the Secretary-General (OSG) of the World Evangelical Alliance. We recognize that there are more than 5,000 existing Christian prayer networks, organisations, and Houses of Prayer, many of them affiliated with WEA Regional and National Alliances. It is not our intention to start a new prayer initiative, but rather to point global churches to select prayer initiatives in order to catalyze and mobilize extraordinary world-changing prayer.

14For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.

Habakkuk 2:14 (NIV)

“The man who mobilizes the Christian church to pray will make the greatest contribution to world evangelization in history”

– Andrew Murray
